What is the best IPTV service available?

I'm sick of cable and cant get satellite so IPTV is all I got left, but U-Verse isn't available so I'm not sure what to try out. What qualifies as 'best' in my mind is programming selection (sports, movies from the 80s forward, informational) and cost. So any suggestions of what to try?

Slow speed of Internet with IPTV on wireless router…why?

Recently I installed IPTV from bsnl on my landline, I reconfigured my modem to work both internet and iptv at same time. But after that I get very slow browsing speed however torrent speed is able to touch maximum. What's wrong in the configuration ?

What are the basic principles of Internet Protocol TV (IPTV)?

IPTV is basically television over the internet.

The way that it works, or will work, is that you will have a computer connected to the internet that will connect to the web site of the television station, and instruct the TV station to start to download to it a continual stream of small chunks of information (TCP/IP packets). These are re-assembled by the computer into video and audio that it output on a scart cable to go into your TV.

What is so good about it?

1. At the moment there is a fixed number of TV stations dictated by the range of frequencies available for broadcast. With IPTV there is no limit – you can have millions of channels just like there are millions of web sites.

2. You can interact with the programme you are watching by sending stuff back to the TV station across the same broadband link, so allow you to enter competitions etc.

I'm sure that there are more. It's the next big thing for sure!
